Below are important international shipping updates from DHL.
CHINA & HONG KONG
The 70kg/piece and 300kg/shipment weight restrictions for China and Hong Kong exports have been lifted. However, the 500kg cap per customer per day is still in place. Shippers will need to follow the cap guideline in order to get their shipments picked up.
China Export Clearance for COVID-19 Relief Goods
We have experienced many delays for exports from China that contain PPE. DHL has provided a guide that outlines export requirements to make this process easier.
KUWAIT & SAUDI ARABIA
DHL will temporarily suspend all Kuwait and Saudi Arabia shipments due to COVID-19 and the Eid holiday from May 22 – May 30th. Pickups and deliveries will be resumed on May 31 in Kuwait. The Temporary Service Suspension in Saudi Arabia has been lifted, and shipments will resume after the Eid holiday, on June 1. During this period, you will not be able to process shipments to or from Kuwait or Saudi Arabia.
DHL has restarted operations in all major cities in India. All DHL gateway locations and a majority of the 52 Service centres across the country are operational. This means that DHL is now directly operational to the top 40 cities.
DHL’s export services have expanded to over 5,500 post codes across the country and Inbound services are active to over 5,500 post codes across the country.
Please note that some delays may still be expected in some locations.

The South African Government has declared a Nationwide lock down until further notice. DHL can pick up or deliver only " Essential Goods and Services". Due to this, service delays are expected to impact the following Southern African countries:
